Computers compute - Designers design

The computer is an incredible tool in the design process. We capitalize on this by using them to do what they do best…compute and calculate! We allow technology to help generate, influence, and inform the design decisions that are made, not simply justify decisions already made.

Parametric Design

The computer allows us to think about our designs in a new way; influenced by fabrication techniques and environmental considerations, we we can now model and use to influence our design

Prototyping

We learn from doing! It’s critical to test, learn, and grow as part of the process and this idea of learning at a small scale allows for a deeper understanding before scaling up.

Furniture

This gives us a fun program and a reason to experiment…and it’s pretty useful!

Digital Fabrication

We love making! This allows us to use tools that combine craftsmanship of working by hand and the precision and speed that technology affords.

Software Training

We are passionate about sharing what we know! We have gained our knowledge on the backs of others and see it as our responsibility to share our knowledge so that others can grow as we did.

3D Visualization + Virtual Reality

Since we first saw Toy Story and were introduced to Pixar, we have loved how digital technology allows us to share the world we have in our imagination. We use these tools to shorten the feedback loop from design to seeing the space - allowing more iterations and learning before the final design is built.
